Our goal of the Women’s Ministry is to encourage women to embrace balance in their lives through God’s plan, His Word. We like to celebrate our lives with fun to faith, laughter to longing to pray, studying to service, fellowship to friendship, meals to ministry, business to beauty.
Surrendering to Biblical principles and the plans God has for each of our lives, we strive to become beautiful in spirit; then modeling that beauty to lead other women to full, abundant and everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Bible Study/Discipleship
Do you know God’s plans for you? God’s Word is my security, strength and the only true guide I have to know the plans God has for my life. At Solid Rock Baptist Church we offer at least 2 multi-week Bible studies each year to give women a chance to study the Word of God, fellowship, pray and support one another. My one on one times with God are essential to my growth as a Christian, but being involved in a group Bible study helps reinforce my study time. I want to encourage each of you to shut the doors of your busy schedules, self wills, circumstances and come sit at His feet for a while.
Women’s Conferences provide an opportunity for us to grow in spirit and friendship. We schedule 2 conferences per year (one local and one away) to give everyone the opportunity to participate in these events. We also keep a list of women’s conferences not promoted as a church event for those who want to attend on an individual basis.
Getting away for a short time can be very refreshing for our spirit and relationships with each other. Who knows, you might make a new friend along the way! Look for upcoming opportunities to join us!
The Decorating Committee provides a way for creative women both young and old to come together and share their talents with our church family. The committee’s goal is to enhance the beauty that God has provided for us by making our church facility beautiful year round during special holidays and the Christmas season.
Special Activities
The Special Activites director would plan activities that would offer fun and fellowship for our ladies. This could be a shopping trip, comedy event, luncheon, or anything that would draw the ladies together for fellowship and a chance to get to know each other better and meet new people. The director should plan 1-2 activities a year.
Make-A-Meal Ministry
The Make-A-Meal Ministry team forms a group of women to prepare meals for families when an immediate family member (spouse, parents, step-parents, children, step-children, son or daughter-in-law) passes away. The team will call and inform ladies of what to cook and when to deliver food when a death occurs. The coordinator will then deliver or make delivery arrangements to have the food taken to the home of a loved one.
On a personal note I have been ministered to twice by this ministry. At those very sad times in my life it was a blessing to know that so many people loved and cared for my family. I will never forget the blessing my family received.
If you are unable to cook a meal, donations to help purchase food will be greatly appreciated.
The Special Events Director would plan at least one special event a year. In the past we have had brunches, speakers, and other special events.
Women's Support Groups
Domestic Violence Support Group
Solid Rock Baptist Church has partnered with Project ReNeWal Domestic Violence Intervention Program, Inc. to provide group support sessions for women who have had or are experiencing domestic violence in their lives. This group is led by a professional Christian counselor every Thursday at 6:00pm at Solid Rock. There is no charge for the sessions. For more information call 770-860-1666.div>
Divorce Recovery is a support group that meets each Wednesday at 7:00pm at Solid Rock. Each session provides women the opportunity to share and receive spiritual guidance through video on the different stages of emotions and events facing them.
